Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle in Amarillo, with Dr. Paul Bates, pastor of pastoral care at Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Private burial will be at a later date in Claude Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Woodward, Okla. She married Louis Thomas on Nov. 26, 1942, in Woodward. She had been a resident of Armstrong County since July 1943. She was a homemaker and member of Fairview Busy Bee Club. She had been awarded Armstrong County homemaker of the year. She was an active servant in her community and was a member of United Methodist Church in Claude. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jim Thomas and wife, Mary Ann, of Rocky Ford, Colo., Mickey Thomas and wife, Shirley, of Montgomery and Tony Thomas and wife, Sandy, of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Washburn Volunteer Fire Department, Rt. 1 Box 278, Claude, TX 79109 or Claude E.M.T., Box 195, Claude, TX 79109. The family will be at the home south of Washburn.
