All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Green Hill Cemetery--Lindsay OK B G Boydston Funeral Home Jimmy Dale Webb 1948 - 2005 Jimmy Webb went to be with his Lord on February 2, 2005 after being a resident of the Sulphur Veterans Center for 14 years. Jimmy was born on May 20, 1948 to R. G. and Fannie Webb. Jimmy grew up in the Banner Community and attended the Lindsay Public Schools. At the age of 19 Jimmy served his country in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Korea. After discharge Jimmy married Carolyn Conaway on October 24, 1971 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Together they had three children, Linda Hinshaw of Wichita Kansas, James Webb and wife Alexis of Oklahoma City, OK and Stacy Hartwell and husband David, of Cherokee, Oklahoma. Jimmy was a member of the Banner Baptist Church of Lindsay and a member of the VFW of Woodward, Oklahoma. He enjoyed bowling and coaching little league. He was a plumber by occupation and worked for Shean Hardware in Woodward for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, R.G. Webb, his brothers Bob and Don and one sister Joy Vander Sluis. He is survived by his children and Carolyn of Shattuck, Ok., his mother Fannie Webb of Lindsay, his brother, Johnny Webb of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, sisters Betty Waite and husband Troy of Ponca City, OK, Ola Aday of Ozark, Arkansas and Janie McCartney of Dougherty Oklahoma, Shirley Ketchum, Alex, OK, Sisters-in-law, Ann Stephenson and Teresa Webb. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Trea, Jimmy and Michael Brakey of Ponca City, Kylie Hutchison, Robert Webb, Delana Payne of Wichita, Kansas, Logan Hartwell of Cherokee, OK and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Jimmy will be held on February 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Banner Baptist Church in Lindsay, OK. Interment will be at the Green Hill Cemetery. In honor of his military service the American Legion, Ball Smith Post 23 will present Carolyn with the U. S. Flag, conduct a 21 gun salute and play Taps. Funeral arrangements for Jimmy are under the direction of the B. G. Boydston Funeral Home, Lindsay, Oklahoma.
