Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Dean Wynn, associate minister of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Mr. West was born in Woodward, Okla. He moved to Amarillo in 1989 from Borger. He married Joyce Baker in 1939 at Woodward, Okla. He was a World War II veteran, stationed in New Guinea and the Philippines with the Navy Seabees. He retired in 1980 as a leadman for City Service Natural Gas. He was past president of the Borger Evening Lions Club. He was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; and two brothers, Harold A. West of Sacramento, Calif., and Louis A. West of Woodward, Okla. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. The body will not be available for viewing.
