Co. of Chicago. page 297 Milo Beggs This enterprising and industrious young man has the distinction of being a son of Oregon, his birthplace being Jacksonville, Jackson county, and the date December 13, 1873. When eleven years old he accompanied his parents to California, but two years later the entire family returned to Jacksonville, where the ensuing quadrennium was passed. Coming then to Baker county, he went to work at stage driving, continuing to busy himself thus for the ensuing seven years. About four years ago he purchased the livery business of J. H. Parker & Son, and about a year and a half ago he admitted his brother, Ellis, to partnership therein. They are now enjoying a very extensive patronage, using in their business about seventy-five horses and about forty excellent single and double rigs. Mr. Beggs is also a stock raiser and deals quite extensively in horses. He is a very energetic and worthy young man, and enjoys the respect and good will of his community and city.
