Shepardson Born on October 4, 1857, at Mongo, Indiana, to Edmund G. and Catherine (Wilson) Shepardson, he was there educated in the public schools, and also received a fine training from his father in the commercial establishment that he owned. At the age of twenty-three he came, by way of Kelton, Utah, to Baker City, and there was engaged in various enterprises until June, 1901, when he saw an opening at Unity for a general store, and he immediately put in a stock of goods, and is now operating a good concern there, having in the meantime, by careful attention to business and uniform geniality and uprightness, secured a fine patronage, which is steadily increasing. He is already increasing his stock, and the outlook is that in the near future he will have to enlarge his capacities for the transaction of business. Mr. Shepardson and Miss Lillie Horfield, the daughter of Mrs. A. B. Swift, were married on October 12, 1898, and to them have been born two children: Iva and Roy.
