Oregon - Baker County - Dixie Cemetery Lime,Oregon submitted by W. David Samuelsen -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Lime - Dixie Cemetery is situated about one mile north of the town of Lime and two miles south of the town of Dixie. It is about 1/4 mile east of US Hwy 30 and is approximately 5 miles north of Huntington. The property was formerly known as the old Durban Burying Ground and has also been known as the Langley Cemetery, the Dixie Cemetery and the Lime Cemetery. It consists of two acres of land which were officially located 16 November 1926 in county records. The cemetery is old and contains many wooden markers which are no longer legible. Located ona sagebrush slope, the plot is neglected but does not require much care. In addition to the burials named below, there are 3 unknown graves within the cemetery boundaries, an unknown grave of an emigrant located outside and about 75 feet west of the fenced area and an unknown infant grave south of the fenced area.
