David Samuelsen - April 2002 ************************************************************************ Eagle Valley News; Richland, OR; 18 Oct 1917 Death Calls Another Mrs. Parmelia C. Jacobs, wife of Eugene A. Jacobs of the Five Mile District, died at Baker Wednesday morning of last week after an extended illness. Parmelia C. Shivers was born in Nebraska on August 13, 1848, and was married to Mr. Jacobs in August, 1866. In 1901 the family left Lone Pine, Nebr., and came to Baker county where they have since resided. She had been a member of the Methodist church for many years and was well known throughout this section. Besides the husband, five sons and three daughters are left to mourn her demise, and all have the heartfelt sympathy of Eagle Valley residents.
