W. Hearing, 51, of Haines will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in West's chapel. Mr. Hearing died early Monday morning in La Grande. He was born July 15, 1890 in Muddy Creek. He had lived in Oregon all of his life. Mr. Hearing engaged in carpentry for many years. Survivors are his widow, Maggie; one daughter, Mrs. O. L. Anderson of Seattle; two sons, Ernest Hearing of San Diego, United States navy; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Harpham, of Baker, Mrs. Hattie Yankey of Haines and Mrs. Nell Stanley of Haines; three brothers, Jim of Haines, Sam of Vernonia and Earl Hearing of McMinnville. Interment will be in Haines cemetery.
