She would have been 80 years old on January 31, 1928. Mrs. Hearing, who was born in Knox county, Illinois, January 31, 1848, crossed the plains with her parents in 1852 and settled in Linn county. She married Samuel P. Hearing January 11, 1966 and moved to Baker county in 1873. Seven of the thirteen children born to Mrs. Hearing survive. They are: Mrs. Anna Harpham, Baker; Mrs. Hattie C. Yankey and Mrs. Nellie M. Stanley, Haines; Earl T. of Dayton, Oregon; James, Ernest and Samuel, all of Haines Twenty-three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at the residence in Haines Tuesday at 2 p. m. Interment will be in the Haines cemetery.
