Ross, of Cornucopia, Dies After a Brief Illness. At Cornucopia on Sunday morning at 8:30 o'clock, Mrs. Mollie E. Ross, beloved wife of Howard P. Ross, assayer in the employ of the Cornucopia Mines of Oregon, died after only twelve hours' illness from inflamation of the bowels. The deceased was aged 27 years and 10 months and was the mothe rof one child, a daughter aged 11 years. The remains were brought to this city yesterday monring accompanied on the sad journey by the sorrow-stricken husband and little daughter, Will H. Howard, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Case. At 4 o'clock the deceased was buried in Mt. Hope cemetery, Rev. F. L. Young, of the M. E. church officiating at the grave.
