JOHN T. SLATE, of ALSEA

Corvallis, OR., March 1. - John T Slate, aged 87, died at his home in Alsea 
February 27. The funeral occurred today. The deceased had been a resident of 
the vicinity for 30 years. He left a son and two daughters - N.P. Slate, of 
Tangent; Mrs. Vernon, of Alsea, and Mrs. McLagn, of Prineville.
