All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com November 18, 2006, 11:12 am Canby Herald And Clackamas County News March 20, 1924 Oregon City,or,-March 15- Mrs mary Elizabeth Barlow of this city,widow of the late John Lawrence barlow,was 90 years old on Saturday,march 8.On that day and on Sunday Mrs barlow received many of her friends and many gifts and flowers made their way to her home at twelfth and Washington streets Mrs Barlow,whose maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Miller,was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Samuel MIller,early residents of Oregon.She was born March 8,1834,and with her parents crossed the plains by ox team in 1850. On the trip the Indians made many attempts to buy Mary Elizabeth and her sister Margaret Miller,who was the late J.G Pilsbury,for many years a resident of oregon City and who died in Portland several years ago.
