Mr. and Mrs. Glen Carothers entertained with a dinner Sunday homoring the 87th 
birthday of Mr. carother's mother, Mrs. Malinda Carrothers. Those enjoying the 
occasion with Mrs. carrothers were Mr. and Mrs. Clarnece Carrothers and 
children Ray and Norman, of Needy;Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wilson  and wife of 
Portlna;James and Louis Carrothers of Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Heckert of Oregon 
City;Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lefgreen of Needy; and Mr. and Mrs. Gle carrothers 
and family. Mrs. Malinda Carrothers is well knonw in and around this section 
as she lived in Butteville for many years and her many friends will be glad to 
know that she is still active and well despite her years
