Married Sixty Years Ago The Event Is Celebrated September 25, 1930
Many friends and relaitves met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.S.Coe of Canby 
Sunday,September 21,to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Cole was born inIowa and Mrs. Coe in Ohio.They were married September 
21,1870 and lived in Iowa unitl 1882 when they moved to Colorado, and fromt 
here to Canby in 1893,settling on a small farm where they have resided since.
Mr. and Mrs. Coe have one son,Robert S.Coe, a daughter in law,two 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.all of Portland,and all of whom were 
present at the recent anniversary event.
Those present at the celebration included Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Koehler, Mr. and 
Mrs. J.W.Koehler and daughters,Mrs. 
Cantwell,Mrs.Summerfield,Mrs.A.M.Vinyard,and Mrs.Mabel Kraft and children,all 
of Canby;and Mr. Will Koehler and children of Portland;Mr. and Mrs. Raymond 
C.Hansen and children,grandaughterand two children,Miss Mildred L.Coe,a grand 
daughter,and Katherine Upson,all of Portland.Mrs.Coe's brother,Ren Denman of 
Los Angeless,Cal.came forthe occasion.
A very fine lunch was served by the may friends and a fifine time was enjoyed
