Mrs Chas Huiras Jr,despondent over the impression that she is afflicted with 
cancer,attempted suicide late Tuesday night at her home near the 
fairgrounds.Mr Huiras was working in the logging camps near Molalla at the 
time his wife attempted self destruction,and arrived here early Wednesday 
morning after a telephone call reached him.
Mrs Huiras was expected to spend the night at the home of his parents in 
Canby,and when she did not put in an appearance at a late hour an 
investigation was made.According to the report given out,the woman was found 
at her home alone with the doors securely fastened,suffering from self 
inflicted wounds.She had cut her arm with a razor in two places,with the 
probable intent of causing a sufficient loss of blood to end it all.A local 
physician was called in time to save her life,and it is believed that she will 
recover.
Mrs Huiras is well known in this part of the country,having spent almost her 
entire life at needy,the home of her parents,until her marriage
