Oregon Argus September 21, 1861
The undersigned executorof the last will and testament of the late Dr.john 
McLoughlin, takes this mode of warning all persons against using or in any way 
appropriating or destroying trees, or timber of any kind, upon th e"Oregon 
City Claim," without first obtaining leave. The havoc now going on must be 
stopped. The undersigned intends treating all persons violating requirements 
of this notice as trespass.
