His mother, Mrs. George Atwood, was injured severely by the tree, but was expected to recover. The mother and two boys were alone in the house at the time of the accident. Mrs. Atwood is a widow, her husband having been killed by a logging locomotive near Scofield, October 10. Frank Atwood, aged 15 years, son of Mrs. Frances Atwood of Milwaukie, Or., brother of Earl W., Harry A., Robert S. and Richard Atwood of Buxton, Or., George W. Jr. of Albany, Or., and Mrs. A.J. Hurst of Portland. The funeral service will be held today (Friday) at 2:30 P.M. at Finley’s mortuary, Montgomery and fifth. Friends invited. Concluding service Mt. Scott cemetery.
