Newspaper Man Is Killed In Auto Wreck
Dies iN Hospital Few Hours After Accident Near AuroraFriday
Ben E.Manning,editor of the South Umpqua News at Riddle,Oregon,sustained 
injuries in an automobile accident near Aurroa Friday which resulted in his 
death a few hours later at a hospital in Oreogn City.His son was also in the 
car and suffered serious injuries.
Mr.Manning and osn were on their way to Wenatchee,Wash., to attend the funeral 
of his sister.
Mr.Manning is survived by two daughters,and one son,who was interested with 
his father in the publication of the News. It is understood that arrangements 
are being made at Riddle to get out the paper until such time as 
Manning,junior,is able to take up the work.He is undecided as to what he will 
do in the future,but will probably not retain the business in southern Oregon 
very long
