The boy in a spirit of fun pointed a loaded pistol at her to scarre her,and it was discharged, the bullet striking her in the heart and killing herinstantly. The Cornoer's jury found that she had come to her death at his hands, but that it was an invountary act.The grand jury evidently found that it was an accident, and that it would be imposible tofind a jury to convict him,as his reputation among his associates and elders was good, especially at school.
