Morning Oregonian September 23, 1904
Astoria.Or.Sept.22- (Special)- W.Ford,of Portland,was seriously injured while 
at work in the Bugby rock quarry this afternoon.He was assisting in loading 
rock in a car,when alarge stone rolled upon him.crushing his left leg and hand 
so badly that the leg below the knee and three of his fingers were amputated.
