Monring Oregonian September 13, 1904
Astoria,Or.,Sept.12-(Special)- The 16 year old son of William Chadwick,a 
rancher living on Clatsop Plains,was probably fatally injured this morning.He 
was driving a team attached to a heavy farm wagon,and while no one saw the 
accident,it is supposed the team ran away,throwing him out,and that the wagon 
wheel passed over his head.When found the boy was unconscious and he was taken 
to the hospital at Fort Stevens,where an examination showed that his skull had 
been badly fractured.There is no hope of his recovery
