Mast has been investigating camp sites over the county with the idea of having a number of them in different sections available for tourists and picinic parties. The first one to be secured is near McKinley, in Section 34, Township 27 South, Range 11 West. W.H. and Lizzie Bunch this week presented the county court with a deed to 1.12 acres and the Menasha Woodenware Co. gave a deed to .70 acre adjoining it. It is a beautiful myrtle grove and Judge Mast thinks it will make a splendid park and campsite when improved and fitted up. It will be known as "Cherry Creek Park and Campsite." In accepting the deed the court passed a resolution thanking the donors for their public-spirited gift. Judge Mast expressed the hope that some day next summer a crowd of citizens would congregate there, with the necessary tools, to put the park in condition for use, and that the ladies would take the necessary viands along for a big picinic dinner and that the park might be formally dedicated in this manner.
