Edmond W. Miles

Florence - Services were held Saturday in Davidson Riverside Chapel by the 
Rev. F. Gene Elliott, for Edmond W. Miles, 81, who died Wednesday, April 9, 
following a heart attack. 

Burial was in Fir Grove Cemetery, Ada.

Born in Sogourney, Iowa, he came to Oregon in 1890. He was in Eugene for a 
brief time before going to Fiddle Creek where his parents homesteaded. His 
wife, Mamie, died in 1938. He was a retired railroad man and had worked with 
the Southern Pacific tunnel crew.

In 1940 he married Daisy E. McTimmonds, who suvives as do a daughter, Mrs. 
Dorothy Carter, Ada; brothers Dan of Ada, Earl of Florence; sisters, Mrs. 
Stella Scott, Ada; Mrs. Mattie Lowe, Ft. Bragg, Calif., and Mrs. Mabie Yates, 
Canby.
