I at Fort Lewis, Wash., who are now serving with armed forces of the United States, have been supplied by the Deschutes county selective service headquarters in Bend. There are more than this number now in service, but all names have not yet been transmitted to the Bend office. Of this total of 216 men, 122 were with Co. I on March 15, 25 were in the navy, 41 were in the regular army ant three were in the marine corps. Also included into service from Deschutes county to date. Not included in the service list forward to the Deschutes selective service office from state headquarters, but expected to be included in a future transmittal, are the names of Captain J.L. Chute and Lieutenants Corwin E. Hein and Harold Heiser, of Co. I; Lieut. Philip Pitman and Drs. Max Hemingway and C.J. Rademacher. The name of Dr. J.S. Grahlman, captain in the reserves, is included in the list, but Dr. Grahlman has not yet been called into service.
