Lyle Simmons, 20, Gaylord Simmons, 19, and William Wehde, 20, all from Lisbon, Ia., suffered serious hurts when the car in which they were traveling collided head-on with one operated by Lester Kennedy, 25-year-old Burns Indian. Kennedy was alone in his car. The three Idaho [sic] youths were still unconscious this afternoon at St. Charles hospital, where they were brought for treatment. Time of the accident was set at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Kennedy, also at St. Charles hospital, suffered multiple abrasions and contusions, and a possible fractured foot, it was reported. State police, who were called to investigate, had not reported their findings as to the cause of the accident. [sic], victim of a two-car accident Sunday evening on the Bend-Burns highway near Hampton, died yesterday at St. Charles hospital, where they were taken for treatment...Allen Wehde, father of William Wehde, arrived this morning by plane from Iowa. Funeral arrangements for the two victims had not been completed today.
