It is moderately tended and is appx. 2 acres in size. Take the Garden Valley Rd. exit off I-5 and proceed west on Garden Valley Rd. going through west Roseburg. When the area begins looking rural with U-pick fields and fruit stands you are near the Melrose turn. Turn left on the Melrose exit, then follow road to the Melrose Store. Proceed west up the hill and on the south side of the road is the Melrose Cemetery. purchased by the Conn Family with "shin plasters" (worthless early script). Mrs. Crystall C. Conn, Rt. 3 Box 1810, Roseburg, OR 97470. The numbering system is our own. Each row starts from the West working to the East. Row 1 being to the far west, row 2 moving east. Number 1 at the beginning of each row is the grave farthest to the north, number 2 moving to the south. The last Douglas County Melrose Cemetery records were recorded in 1954. There have been dozens of entries since that time. Many of the entries, particularly the 'no stone' entries are taken from the 1954 extraction. This is a compilation of both the current records found now, and the old records. Extracted by Debra Bursik Huff 90825 Evergreen Lane, Coos Bay, OR 97420 and Mary Crook Bursik 237 Fink St. Coos Bay, OR 97420. Row 1: 1. Franklin O.
