David G. McGinnis, 84, lifelong resident of Douglas county, died at Mercy
hospital, Dec. 22, following a short illness. He was born near Azalea June 6,
1867, the son of John and Anna McGinnis, Douglas county pioneers. He was never
married. Surviving are two brothers, John McGinnis, Nesthahlem, Wash., and
George McGinnis, Seattle, Wash., and a niece, Mrs. Ada Buschmann, Azalea.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Long and rr mortuary Thurday,
Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. Concluding services and interment will follow in the Civil
Bend cemetary.
