Of this number six died of consumption, three of heart disease, two of dropsy, two of debility, two of kidney disease, two of typhoid pneumonia, two, disease not stated, one poisoned, one drowned, one of aneurism, one of uremic poison, one of liver disease, one of cholera infantum, and one executed by law. Twelve of these were 50 years old and over, 11 were over 20 and number 50 and 3 under 20 years. Nine of these belonged within the limits of Jacksonville, 9 died in the county hospital, 2 from Medford, 2 from Grant's Pass and 1 each from Williams creek, Central Point, Foot's creek and Ashland. The most noticeable feature of this year's mortality is the increased number that have died in the county hospital and the unprecedented small number of young children.
