Marcellis Rowe, defendant Plaintiff and defendant married in Jackson County, Oregon, on 25 Dec 1879 and have been living there ever since. The plaintiff has been a faithful wife but defendant has been guilty of habitual gross drunkenness contracted since the marriage and continuing for more than one year before filing for the divorce. For more than one year he has failed to provide support and the plaintiff has had to rely on her own labor and assistance of her friends and relatives. The children are Lottie Rowe, aged eight, James Ray Rowe, aged seven, Isabel, aged four, and Hazel, aged ten months. The plaintiff is asking for a decree dissolving the marriage, for the care and custody of the children, and that defendant pay the costs of the suit. (Signed) C. W.
