She was born in England on June 24, 1857, and came to the United States when 27 years of age. Her husband, Walter Dungey, preceded her in death, passing in March, 1941. Six children survive: Wm. Dungey, Marshfield; Mrs. John Cameron, Cottage Grove; Mrs. Lynn Purdin, Kelsoe, Wash.; Mrs. Daisy Gilchrist, Elmer and Leroy Dungey, all of Gold Hill. The remains are at the Conger funeral parlors. RITES THURSDAY FOR MARY YOUNG Mary Jane Young, a resident of Medford for the past 26 years, passed away at a local hospital Tuesday at 1 p.m. after a short illness. Mrs. Young was born in Cork county, Ireland, and came to the United States 65 years ago. She made her home with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clara A. Young at 518 South Oakdale Avenue. Mrs. Young was a fine Christian woman, and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by three grandchildren, Dougal, Arnold and Walter Young, and three great- grandchildren, Marcia, James and Janet Young. Funeral services will be conducted from the Sacred Heart Catholic church Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. Father Francis W. Black officiating. Interment will take place in Siskiyou Memorial Park. The third order of Saint Frances will hold their service tonight, at the Perl Funeral home at 7:15, and the Rosary will follow at 8 o'clock. Friends are respectfully invited to attend the services. CLYDE DAVIDSON TAKEN BY DEATH Clyde Davidson, a resident of Murphy, Oregon, most of his life, passed away at a local hospital early Tuesday morning, after a brief illness. Mr. Davidson was born at Williams Creek on April 11, 1884. He is survived by 4 daughters and 3 sons, Mrs. Gilbert Lind of Gresham, Ore., Mrs. Marion Paup, Aberdeen, Wash., Mrs. Jack Vincent, Murphy, Ore., and Mrs. Mildred Pederson, Hayward, Calif., Melvin Davidson, who was taken a prisoner at Wake Island, Eugene and Arthur Davidson of Murphy, also 8 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Wettrau of Grant's Pass, and Miss Iris Davidson of Wyoming, and one brother, Ellis Davidson of California. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Granite Hill Cemetery, Grant's Pass, Friday at 2:30 p.m. Perl Funeral home in charge of arrangements. WALTER D. DICKEY CALLED BY DEATH Walter David Dickey, long time and well known resident of Medford, passed away at a local hospital Early Wednesday morning, after a brief illness. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Thursday, 25 Jun 1942, p. 11, c. 7 WALTER DAVID DICKEY SUCCUMBS AGED 62; FUNERAL IS SATURDAY Walter David Dickey, 62, resident of southern Oregon for the past 35 years, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Mr. Dickey was born at Harriman, Tenn., January 26, 1880. He had been manager of the F. Corning Kenley orchard for the past 26 years and well known to a host of friends. He was an expert orchard man. Mr. Dickey spent his early life in Tennessee and was united in marriage to Miss Joan Riggs at Oliver Springs, Tenn., April 5, 1905. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joan Dickey and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Hatch; also one grandchild, Walter Ed[-?-] Hatch, all of Medford; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Alexander of Madisonville, Tenn., Mrs. Christina Scarborough of Harriman, Ten., and five brothers, Hobart and Thomas Dickey of Medford, George, Lewis and Layfette Dickey, all of Harriman, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted from Perl Funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will take place in Medford IOOF cemetery.
