Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Sunday, 23 Sep 1923, p. 2, c. 3 
Oscar Thomas Abbott passed away at the Community Hospital, Saturday morning, 
aged 43 years, 6 months and 28 days. Native son of Jackson County. Son of 
Laura Nelsenia Abbott, of Butte Falls, Ore. He was employed by the Rogue River 
Canal company. He leaves his wife, Cecil [sic], and two daughters and one son, 
Evaline, and Jewell, son William. Also five brothers and two sisters, Everett, 
Butte Falls, Ore.; Frank, Susanville, Cal.; Lester, Klamath Falls, Ore.; Elga, 
Orbra of Butte Falls, Ore.; Mrs. Gertie Hoefs, Butte Falls, Ore.; Mrs. Hilda 
Welch, Ashland, Ore. Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral home, 
Monday at 2 p. m. Interment in Phoenix cemetery.
