AIKEN, Mrs. S. S., Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 16 May 1902:The many friends of
 Mrs. S. S. Aiken, of Prospect, will begrieved to learn of her death, which occurred 
on Monday while shewas en route to Central Point to consult a physician. Her husband had 
started with her on a bed, in a spring wagon, but she died atthe Hull farm, on Rogue 
river. Mrs. Aiken was a very estimablewoman, a kind and affectionate wife and mother. 
She leaves ahusband and four children, besides a host of friends, to mournher loss. The 
bereaved family has the heartfelt sympathy of allin this their sad hour of trouble.
