Akers, 70, passed away at his residence on Beall lane early Sunday morning after a long residence in this county. He had been a long sufferer from heart trouble. Mr. Akers was a member of the Christian church. Besides his wife Arebelle Akers, he leaves one brother and three sisters: S. F. Akers, Medford; Cora Peterson, La Grande, Oregon; Myrtle Smith, Wallowa and Delia Cox of Baker county. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. C. A. Phillips of Central Point will officiate and interment will be in the Central Point cemetery.
