He leaves his widow, Mrs. W. H. Anderson, daughter, Lavon, and sister, Mrs. William Walters, of Douglas, Arizona. Mr. Anderson was the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. DeSouza of Medford. He lived here about two years, leaving a year ago for Santa Clara to engage in business. While here he conducted a grocery store on South Central avenue. He has engaged in business at various times in Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Texas. Mr. Anderson's pleasing personality made him many sincere friends, who will deeply regret his departure. Funeral services will be held here on a date to be announced later. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Tuesday, 28 Apr 1925 ANDERSON - Funeral services for the late W. H. Anderson, who passed away at Santa Clara, Calif., April 23, 1925, will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, from the Catholic church, Rev. Father Francis W. Black officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of John A. Perl, mortician. The following is from the San Jose, Calif., Mercury: "W. H. anderson, a prominent merchant of Santa Clara, passed away at his residence Thursday, after an illness of several weeks. He was a native of Virginia, and was 51 years of age. For a number of years he was prominently engaged in business in Arizona and Oregon. A year ago the family arrived in Santa Clara, and Mr. Anderson purchased the grocery store at the corner of Washington and Bellomy streets. During this residence in Santa Clara he made many friends. A widow and one daughter survive him. The body will be forwarded to Medford, Oregon, for burial."
