Mr. George N. Anderson, pioneer of southern Oregon, passed away after a 
month’s illness at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lena Phillips on East Main 
street. Mr. Anderson was one of a large family of children born to E. K. 
Anderson and wife on the old Anderson ranch near Talent. The old home was one 
of he original donation land claims of the state. Mr. Anderson was of a quiet 
and unassuming nature, a good citizen, a man with many friends. He was born 
December 24, 1860. Funeral arrangements are not yet complete.
