THURSDAY AT PERL PARLOR Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Perl Funeral home chapel for Sadie Gammill Barnum, who passed away at the family home, the Barnum orchard, on Route 4, Tuesday morning. Rev. E. M. Mallory of Jacksonville Presbyterian church will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park. Mrs. Barnum was actively affiliated with the Presbyterian church until failing health confined her to her home. Her death was due to the infirmities of age, aggravated by a fall she suffered November 15. Mrs. Barnum was born July 20, 1859, in Texas and when quite young, moved with her parents, Miles and Delila Anderson Gammill, to Iowa and later to Santa Barbara, Cal. In 1885 she was married to William Vance Barnum, who preceded her in death in 1928. In 1900 the family moved to Medford where they developed the property known as the Barnum Orchard and where they have resided for the past 40 years. Three children survive, Clyde C. Barnum of Martinez, Cal., William Berthold Barnum, at home, and Marion E. Hilton of Grant's Pass; also four grandchildren and two brothers, John A. Gammill of Medford and Attorney W. C. Gammill of Santa Barbara.
