She was taken to the hospital last Tuesday from her home, 908 W. Tenth street, where she had been taken with a serious illness last Sunday. She and her son, Harold, came to Medford about a year ago to make their home. She was born at Steamboat Rock, Iowa, August 19, 1856, being the first white child born there. Mrs. Bigalow was a member of the Relief corps of Marshalltown, Iowa, and the Methodist church. She had been a resident of Marshalltown for forty-five years. She was married to Herbert P. Bigalow at the place of her birth, June 30, 1876, and to this union were born five children, Bessie L., and Rex R., passing away in infancy and her husband in 1916. She is now survived by three sons, F. E Bigalow and Harold P. Bigalow of Medford and Carl Bigalow of Boone, Iowa, and one brother, Coker F. Rathbone, Coalinga, Calif., also three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral home, Monday at 2 p. m., Rev. J. B. Coan officiating. The remains will be forwarded to Marshalltown, Iowa, Monday night at 10:45 p. m., accompanied by her son, Frank E. Bigalow and grandson, Earl, where funeral services and interment will be held.
