S. (Nellie Boyd), Medford (Oregon) Enquirer, Saturday, 16 May 1903, p. 3: Died at the family home in West Medford on Thursday, May 14, 1903, Mrs. A. S. Blinton, aged thirty-six years and five months. Mrs. Blinton was the wife of the editor of the Medford Mail, and was a lady highly esteemed by all who knew her. She had been a great sufferer with rheumatism and stomach trouble and had spent the winter at San Diego, Calif., but which did not seem to benefit her and she came home about a month ago. Mrs. Blinton's maiden name was Boyd, and she was born at Bervia, Ontario, December 13, 1866, moved to Dakota in 1879, in which state she was married to A. S. Blinton in 1888. Came with her husband to Oregon in 1891 and to Medford in 1893. Deceased leaves a husband, two daughters, Loraine, aged eleven years, and Mildred, aged seven, a sister, Mrs. W. T. York in Medford, and numerous other relatives in eastern states. Our sympathy and that of the entire community goes out to Brother Blinton and his two motherless little girls in their great bereavement. Funeral services were held at the family residence yesterday, Rev. W. F. Shields officiating. The interment was in Odd Fellows cemetery and a large number of friends were present. Mrs. Blinton was a member of Chrysanthemum Circle, Women of Woodcraft, and carried a policy in that order of $1500.
