Elizabeth Bolt, a resident of Gold Hill for the past 29 years, passed away at 
that place at noon Wednesday at the age of 85 years, three months and eight 
days. She was born in Germany on January 2, 1844, and came to this country at 
the age of four years, and spent her early life at Cincinnati, Ohio. Besides a 
host of friends, Mrs. Bolt leaves four children, George N. Bolt of Marshfield, 
Ore., Rev. Sister Leonella, Seattle; Mrs. N. G. McVay, Crescent City, Cal., 
and J. E. Bolt, Gold Hill; also one grandson, John Palmer of Gold Hill. 
Deceased was a member of the Gold Hill Rebekah lodge. Funeral services in care 
of Conger Funeral parlors, will be held at the residence in Gold Hill at 1 p. 
m. Friday. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery.
