Frederick Joseph Bolt, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bolt of 
Applegate, passed away at his home in Gold Hill at 8:50 p. m. Saturday. Death 
came as a result of typhoid fever after an illness of two months. Mr. Bolt was 
born in Applegate June 21, 1875. In 1911 he was married to Sophia Davis of 
Gold Hill where they have since resided and where Mr. Bolt had lived for 10 
years prior to their marriage. He was a man of wide and favorable 
acquaintance,, having spent all his life in Jackson County. Besides his wife, 
Mrs. Sophia Bolt, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Bolt of Gold Hill, and 
two sisters, Ed Bolt of Pasadena, Cal., George Bolt of Marshfield, Mrs. Lucy 
McVay, Crescent City, and Sister M. Leonella of Seattle. Funeral services will 
be held at Rock Point cemetery at Gold Hill Monday, January 27 at 2:30. Rev. 
D. J. Howe of Medford officiating. Conger Funeral parlors in charge of 
arrangements.
