Bowman, 63, a resident of Medford for the past 30 years, and also owner of Bowman's Beauty and Barber shop, passed away in San Francisco on Sept. 29, after an illness of the past year. Mr. Bowman was born in Indiana on June 2, 1880. He spent his early life in Nebraska and was united in marriage to Miss Marcella Records at Freemont, Neb., in 1905. They lived in the middle west until they came to Medford in 1913. Mr. Bowman leaves a host of friends to mourn his passing. He loved the out-of-doors and spent as much time as possible along a stream or in the woods. He was a member of Medford lodge, B. P. O. E., and the Southern Oregon Barbers' association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marcella Bowman; a daughter, Mrs. Lola Nordquist of San Francisco, and a grandson, Darrell Nordquist, aged 15. Funeral services will be conducted from the Perl Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Lewis Kirby officiating. Interment will take place in Jacksonville cemetery. Medford lodge, B. P. O. Elks, will officiate at the graveside. Pallbearers will be: N. G. Bates, E. C. Tams, Frank D. Boone, Fred Fray, Verne Marshall and Tod Porter.
