The following sermon was preached at the funeral of Mr. Jay Bradley...in Medford, October 27, 1893: [sermon text deleted except for information of a genealogical nature] ...As to the deceased, Mr. Jay Bradley was born in Blakesburgh, Wapello county, Iowa, January 11, 1852. He came with his parents to Jackson County, Ore., in Oct. 1868. He was united in marriage with Laura Merriman, Nov. 23, 1876, who with three children, two sons and a daughter, his mother and two sisters, remain to mourn his loss. He moved with his family to Wyoming in 1881, where he lived for nine years. In Wyoming, as in Oregon, he has many friends. Wherever he lived and was known it was to be prized and honored. He was an only son. His father died in 1875. [Remainder of text deleted.]
