Brooks passed away Monday, June 3, 1929, at the family home near Central Point, at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 1 day. Minnie Amelia Porter was born in Fowler, Ohio, on August 2, 1864, and was married to George William Brooks of Williamsfield, Ohio, on September 17, 1885. She was a member of the Christian church of Fowler, Ohio. One child, Marjorie Laura, born on February 28, 1901, passed away in infancy on August 12 of the same year. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, George W. Brooks of Central Point, Oregon, Miss Ruby Ella Brooks and Mrs. Edith Willits of Santa Maria, Cal., and Howard R. Brooks of Lompoc, Calif., also a sister Mrs. James A. Brown of Merrill, Ore., and a step-sister, Mrs. D. H. Sparks of Bell, Calif., besides nephews, nieces and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral home Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Raymond Rees officiating. Interment in the Medford cemetery.
