Medford (Oregon) Mail, Friday, 6 Apr 1900, City Happenings, p. 7, c. 4
David Brower, a prominent elder of the German Baptist, or Dunkard Church, died 
at his home at Talent, on Thursday of last week, aged seventy-nine years. He 
was a native of Virginia and came to Oregon in 1871, settling in the 
Willamette valley. For the past eight years he has lived in southern Oregon. 
Besides a wife he leaves five children, among whom are Dr. D. M. Brower, of 
Ashland. Mr. Brower belonged to the Dunkard Brethren for over fifty-five years 
and was a prominent preacher in that church and well known in all parts of the 
Pacific coast.

Rev. J. P. Moomaw went to Talent last Thursday to be at the bedside of his 
friend, Rev. David Brower, who died shortly after his arrival.
