He was a native of Virginia and came to Oregon in 1871, settling in the Willamette valley. For the past eight years he has lived in southern Oregon. Besides a wife he leaves five children, among whom are Dr. D. M. Brower, of Ashland. Mr. Brower belonged to the Dunkard Brethren for over fifty-five years and was a prominent preacher in that church and well known in all parts of the Pacific coast. David Brower, who died shortly after his arrival.
