BUTLER Christian Science funeral rites will be held tomorrow for Mrs. Jessie Edith Butler, well known Medford resident who passed away Sunday in North Hollywood. The private services will be at 2 p.m. at the Perl Funeral Home and interment will be in the family plot in I.O.O.F. cemetery. Mrs. Butler came to Jackson county in 1891 with her parents, the late Charles and Mary Nicholson, and had resided here until last fall. She was married to Harry N. Butler June 15, 1902, and for many years the family home was at 212 North Bartlett St., here. Last September Mr. and Mrs. Butler went to North Hollywood to reside for the duration of the war. Surviving Mrs. Butler are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Angus Bowmer of North Hollywood, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Leever of Ashland and Mrs. Fred Slagle of North Hollywood. The deceased was a native of Sugar Creek, Iowa, having been born there Sept. 4, 1882. Both the Butler and Nicholson families are widely known in the valley and a large circle of friends will mourn Mrs. Butler's death. Mr. Butler, Mrs. Bowmer and Mrs. Slagle arrived in Medford this morning.
