Medford,Or.,Sept.24-(Special)
George w.Isaacs,aged 74 years,died last night at the late residence,after a 
short illness of pneumonia.He crossed the plains in 1852 with an ox team to 
California,but afterwards settled in Corvallis,moving to Jackson County in 
1861,where he has since lived. He was a very successful business man and 
highly respected citizen. He left a widow and six children.
