Wilson officiating. Melvin was born at Rogue River and was about 3-1/2 years of age. The little fellow has been afflicted for over a year and all that fond parents and medical science could do was done to try and cure him, but to no avail. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their hour of sorrow. Medford (Oregon) Mail Tribune, Friday, 31 Jul 1925 We do so regret to announce that the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jacobson, who firmerly resided in Talent and Rogue River, finally succumbed to the malady from which he so patiently suffered the past two years. Death occurred at the home of Mr. Jacobson's parents, near Merrill on July 17. The body was brought to Rogue River the following Sunday for burial. The sympathies of the communities in which Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson have lived go out to them in their sorrow.
