JENNINGS RITES SATURDAY Funeral service for Jean Forbes Jennings, 41, long-time resident of Medford who died in Portland early Wednesday morning following a gradual decline in health and a recent serious illness, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Conger's funeral home. The Rev. Wolford A. Dawes of the First Baptist church will officiate. Mrs. Jennings was born July 31, 1899 near Dundee, Scotland. At the age of 13 she came with her parents to Toronto, Canada, where she made her home until her marriage at Fort Worth, Texas on November 8, 1918. Shortly thereafter she and her husband came to Medford where she had made her home since. Since early childhood she was a devout christian and a member of the Presbyterian church, and was an active worker in lodge and church activities until her failing health made further duties impossible. Besides a host of sorrowing friends she leaves her husband, Walter F. Jennings of Portland; a daughter, Jean Jennings, and four sisters and three brothers, all of Canada: Ms. Mary Harrington, Mrs. Catherine Walker, Mrs. Margaret Seddon, Mrs. Fanny Walker, Jack Gairns, William Gairns and Jim Gairns.
