Jennings, pioneer resident of Jackson County passed away at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the age of 84. Coming here at the age of two years from Hawkinsville, Calif., where he was born Feb. 23, 1856, he had spent 82 years of his lifetime in Jackson County, the last few years of which he resided in Jacksonville and with his son on Ross lane. He leaves two sons, Ralph G. Jennings now of Talent, Oregon and Rholley Jennings of Long Beach, Wash. Also eight grandchildren, two of whom, Paul and Louis Jennings reside here. He also leaves eight great grandchildren in Washington and one sister, Nancy Leland of Seattle. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will be in the Jacksonville cemetery.
