Funeral rites will be held at Perl's Funeral parlors Wednesday at 10:30
a.m. for Lena Madeline Johnson, 73, who died at a local hospital Sunday
night. Mrs. Johnson had lived in the Sam's Valley district for about 20
years. 

Survivors include the husband, George Johnson, and four children, Fern and
George, Jr., of Sam's Valley; Abe Johnson of Pleasant Creek, Ore., and
Harry Johnson of Toppenish, Wash. The deceased was a native of Wisconsin,
having been born in Patosa, Sept. 10, 1870.

The funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. D. E. Millard and
interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
